McNamara Florist was founded in Indianapolis, IN, in 1954 by Robert and Richard McNamara. Current owner, Toomie Farris, AAF, AIFD, a 39-year veteran of McNamara Florist, maintains the same values and service first established over 65 years ago. Toomie has always been passionate about flowers and plants, no doubt due to his being raised on a farm in Missouri with a mother and two grandmothers who were avid gardeners.

In 2016, Toomie decided to move McNamara Florist's main headquarters and distribution center in Fisher, IN back into the core of Indianapolis by renovating an abandoned industrial complex on the near east side of downtown. McNamara Florist is committed to the revitalization of the area, and their efforts have spurred other businesses to invest in their home community as well.

Today, McNamara Florist offers a full range of floral products and services and operates eight retail locations throughout the greater Indianapolis area, a two-acre greenhouse/nursery located in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and their own fresh flower importing operation to ensure the best quality and selection of floral products for their customers. Besides their core business of fresh plants and flowers, McNamara also offers event services, including weddings, social and corporate functions, and an extensive line of home décor and gifts.

With over 120 employees dedicated to quality, professionalism, and providing unsurpassed customer service, McNamara is proud to serve the Indianapolis community and continue to offer exceptional products and services for many more years to come.
